Kinematics and Dynamics of Mechanical Systems

SimWise 4D

Simulate the rigid body dynamics of 3D kinematic assemblies, design and test mechanism joints and components, determine part interferences and collision responses, identify stresses induced by motion, produce physics-based animations, and test your control systems. Works with 3D assemblies created standalone within SimWise, or directly from common CAD formats, recognising joint/motion connections from within the CAD assembly.

Working Model 2D

Rapidly simulate the rigid body dynamics of 2D kinematic assemblies with Working Model 2D (WM2D). WM2D is the most popular motion simulation product in the world.

  • Quickly build, run, and refine simulations with pre-defined objects and constraints
  • Create bodies and specify mass properties, initial velocity, electrostatic charge, etc
  • Design linkages with pin joints, slots, motors, springs, and dampers
  • Run, stop, reset, single step, or pause the simulation at any time
  • Simulate contact, collisions, and friction
  • Input values from equations, sliders and DDE links to MATLAB and Excel
  • View output as vectors or in numbers and graphs in English or metric units
  • Simulate non-linear or user events using a built-in formula language
  • Import DXF or rapidly sketch parts and bodies within WM2D
  • Fast “run-analyze-refine” cycle helps to optimise designs before building physical prototypes
  • Use WM2D to maximise “right first time” physical products

Interactive Physics

For Educational Institutions, Interactive Physics allows you to model, simulate, and explore a wide variety of physical phenomena, and create nearly any experiment imaginable.

  • Create objects by drawing circles, blocks, and polygons
  • Measure velocity, acceleration, force, energy, etc., in metric or English units
  • Create ropes, springs, dampers, pulleys, slots, actuators, and motors
  • Simulate contact, collisions, and friction
  • Vary air resistance, gravity, or material properties
  • View results as numbers, graphs, and animated vectors
  • Hear and measure sound volumes, sound frequencies, and Doppler effects
  • Create visually appealing presentations by attaching graphics to objects

Join RMIT and other universities and schools around the globe, using Interactive Physics to teach and explore the physics of the real world. For detailed technical information, check Design Simulation Technology’s Interactive Physics product page. Contact EnDuraSim for pricing.
